The G overnm ent h a s a strong record of ach ievem ents for w om en an d is p roud of the role it h a s played since self-governm ent. The R eport on the Initiatives for W om en in the N orthern T erritory records to -date th e G overnm ents response to the special needs of w om en. T his R eport will be followed by a stra tegy for fu tu re action, incorpora ting policies an d p rogram s for the 1990s w hich will reflect th e priorities identified by wom en.
