It p roduced the N ational S tra tegy on Violence A gainst W om en w hich w as given b i-p a rtisan su p p o rt w hen it w as endorsed a t a specially convened Conference of M inisters on th e S ta tu s of W omen in O ctober 1992. The T erritory w as rep resen ted by th e Aboriginal Policy Officer from the Office of W om ens Affairs an d a com m unity rep resen ta tive from the Alice Springs W om en's Shelter.
