Advice sess io n s are also held in K atherine, T en n a n t C reek and N h u lu n b u y M agistrates C ourt. If, after the in itial session , ongoing legal service is requ ired the app lican t is a ssessed for eligibility for a g ran t of legal aid. In 1992-93 of the 395 applications for aid approved, 61% were for w om en. In resp ec t of legal advice of th e 1603 sessions, 63% were for w om en.
