N o rth ern T e rr ito ry E m p lo ym en t a n d T ra in in g A u th o r ity The N orthern T erritory Em ploym ent an d T rain ing A uthority (NTETA) w as estab lished in 1992 to give a new approach to the delivery of vocational educa tion an d tra in ing by seeking to involve service u se rs an d the com m unity in the m anagem ent of a developing system of colleges. F our Advisorv C ouncils to develop m atte rs of policy were estab lished u n d e r th e NTETA Act. E m ploym ent a nd Training N eeds Planning A dvisory Council The E m ploym ent an d T raining Needs P lanning Advisory C ouncil advises NTETA on the scale, balance and priorities to be estab lished for tra in ing activity in th e N orthern Territory and its ap p ro p ria ten ess to existing lab o u r m ark e t dem and. A sub-com m ittee to the Council is th e W om ens T rain ing Needs P lanning Com m ittee (WTNPC).
