T h e is su e o f to b a c c o sp o n s o rsh ip in sp o r t b ecam e a key issue fo r the T errito ry w ith strong p ressu re from H ealth A u tho rities to ban tobacco advertising . W hile acknow ledg ing the dam ag ing a ffe c ts o f to b acc o sm o k in g , the O ffic e has reco g n ised the au tonom y o f spo rting o rg an isa tions to choose w here sponsorsh ip shou ld be sought.
