Northern Territory Liquor Commission RESTRICTED AREAS Restricted Areas in Force Another major activity of the Commission is the administration of the restricted areas provisions of the Liquor Act. Restricted areas or "dry areas" are any areas of land from which liquor is excluded except in accordance with a liquor permit. During the year one restricted area was declared making a total of 79 as at 30 June 1993. Appendix 4 details these restricted areas. The enforcement of the restricted areas provisions of the Act has generally been the responsibility of Police Officers on remote localities. The Commission appreciates the invaluable assistance provided by these Officers. Page 15 Annual Report 1993
