TO THE HONOURABLE THE SPEAKER AND MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE NORTHERN TERRITORY: THE HUMBLE PETITION OF TERRITORY. RESIDENTS OF THE NORTHERN RESPECTFULLY SHOWETH that the intersection of Secrett and McMillans Hoads; is heavily used by residents of that area and Defence Forces personnel, both in travelling to & from work each day and in carrying out their personal affairs. is dangerous to all road users and particularly dangerous for traffic turning right out of Secrett Rd into McMillans Rd. has a history of accidents with at least 3 in the last 12 months and one death. YOUR PETITIONERS therefore humbly urgently request the Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory to have traffic controlling devices installed at this intersection as a matter of priority, before another person is killed or someone is seriously injured in an accident there.
