r Money was allocated to projects which enhanced enjoyment and participation opportunities for Northern Territorians, whilst also fostering the practice, growth and development of the arts in all forms. Some examples of these include: A project grant for Darwin Theatre Company to tour the highly successful play "EMMA" down the track to Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, involving many members of the local community in the production. The Company took the opportunity, whilst on tour, to present skills development and training workshops on acting, theatre management and lighting. Funding for the Darwin Symphony Orchestra to commission and present a truly unique musical work by one of Australia's foremost contemporary composers, Richard Mills. 4
