EXPERIMENTAL STAGE, THIS WEEK WILL SEE THE LATEST PROTOTYPE GENERATOR LAUNCHED FOR ITS SEA TRIALS. COLLABORATIVE ARRANGEMENTS COVERING A RANGE OF INITIATIVES HAVE BEEN FOSTERED WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF MINES AND ENERGY, THE DEPARTMENT OF ASIAN RELATIONS, TRADE AND INDUSTRY, THE NORTHERN TERRITORY UNIVERSITY AND ACRE. ACRE IS A KEY INGREDIENT IN THE AUTHORITYS STRATEGY TO MAXIMISE THE RETURN FROM ITS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENT. ACRE IS A NON-PROFIT-MAKING INCORPORATED JOINT VENTURE, MANAGED BY A SMALL BOARD THAT INCLUDES TWO TERRITORY REPRESENTATIVES. THESE ARE THE AUTHORITYS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, OWEN PEAKE, AND THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF POWERCORP, ALAN LANGWORTHY. TWO OF ACRES EIGHT PROGRAMS ARE MANAGED BY TERRITORIANS WITH A THIRD HAVING A TERRITORIAN AS ITS DEPUTY MANAGER. WITH THIS DEGREE OF REPRESENTATION, THE TERRITORYS INFLUENCE ON ACRE IS SUBSTANTIAL. 11
