IT ALSO PROVIDES A MEDIUM THROUGH WHICH THE UNIVERSITY CAN RECOGNISE THE GENEROSITY OF ITS DONORS. THE FOUNDATION ENCOURAGES DONATIONS AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS, INVESTING AND ACCUMULATING THE MONEY RAISED FOR USE IN THE PROMOTION, ADVANCEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY, FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS STUDENTS AND THE COMMUNITY. TO DATE, MR SPEAKER, THE FOUNDATION HAD RAISED $7,205,078 DOLLARS, IN BOTH CASH AND KIND. AT THE END OF 1996 THERE WERE 52 INDIVIDUAL AND 80 CORPORATE MEMBERS OF THE NTU FOUNDATION. 13
