THIS HAS NOT ONLY MEANT AN INCREASE IN THE RANGE OF COURSES OFFERED AT NTU, BUT AS WELL, STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WAY IN WHICH COURSES ARE ARTICULATED BETWEEN THE TWO SYSTEMS. MR SPEAKER, NEW HYBRID COURSES ARE PLANNED IN AQUACULTURE AND ECO-TOURISM WHICH INCORPORATE BOTH VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING AND HIGHER EDUCATION. I AM PLEASED TO REPORT, MR SPEAKER, THAT THE NORTHERN TERRITORY UNIVERSITY IS NOW LEADING THE WAY IN THE INTEGRATION OF THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING AND HIGHER EDUCATION SECTORS. INCREASINGLY, OTHER UNIVERSITIES ARE BECOMING AWARE OF THE NEED TO BREAK DOWN THE BARRIERS ACROSS COURSES, AND TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS BASED ON ARTICULATION BETWEEN HIGHER EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING. 17
