FINALLY MR SPEAKER, ON THE MATTER OF THE NTU'S RESEARCH PROFILE, THE NTU ACHIEVED FURTHER RECOGNITION OF ITS RESEARCH STRENGTHS AND PRIORITIES AT THE END OF 1996 WITH ITS SUCCESSFUL BIDS IN THE CRC FOR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM AND IN THE CENTRE FOR INDIGENOUS AND NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. THE LATTER WILL BE ESTABLISHED AT THE NTU, AND WILL BE FUNDED TO THE TUNE OF $1.8 MILLION DOLLARS OVER THREE YEARS. MR SPEAKER I WOULD NOW LIKE TO REPORT ON THE NTU'S INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS. 27
