Some sites were categorised as not demonstrated due to data recovery rates below 75%. The Albion Park station was off-line due to severe vandalism during 2002 and the Lidcombe site was off-line due to a relocation caused by construction activity. The goal for photochemical oxidants (measured as ozone) was not met at six sites in the Sydney region and one site in the Illawarra region. The goal for particles (as PMI0) was not met at all sites in the Air NEPM network during 2003. The hot drought conditions led to bushfires and severe dust storms during 2 0 0 2 , ensuring that more than the 5 allowable exceedences were recorded at each station.
