HERITAGE ADVISORY COUNCIL TWELFTH ANNUAL REPORT 2002-03 15 Minister that a place should be declared a heritage place, the Minister may either: agree to the declaration; refuse; or refer the matter back to Council for further information. The Minister agreed to all recommendations put to him by Council regarding the declaration of heritage places in 2002-03. Places revoked The Minister did not revoke the declaration of any heritage places or objects in the last year. Places destroyed No places nominated to the NT Heritage Register were destroyed during the last year. Interim Conservation Orders Council did not recommend any Interim Conservation Orders to the Minister during 2002-03. The state of the Register Since the commencement of the Heritage Conservation Act in 1991 to the 30th June 2003 a total of 464 places and objects have been nominated to the NTHR. Of these, 317 have been assessed with 133 having not been recommended, 18 refused, 3 revoked and 3 destroyed. A total of 160 places and objects have been declared as heritage places and objects.
