AUDIT BILL 1994 (Serial 52): The Minister for Asian Relations and Trade (M r Stone) by leave, on behalf o f and at the request o f the Chief Minister (Mr Perron), pursuant to noticc, presented a Bill for an Act to provide for the appointment, and the powers and functions, o f the Auditor-General and the audit o f the accounts o f the Territory and Agencies, and for related purposes. Mr Perron moved - That the Bill be now read a sccond time. On the motion o f the Leader o f the Opposition (M r Ede) debate was adjourned. 16. SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS-M OVE MOTION FORTHWITH MOTION NEGATIVED: The Leader o f the Opposition (Mr Ede) moved - That so much o f Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent him moving a motion to refer a matter to the Sessional Committee on the Use and Abuse o f Alcohol by the Community. The Leader o f Government Business (Mr Stone) moved - That the question be now put. Question - That the question be now put - put. The Assembly divided (the Speaker, Hon. T.R. Question - That the motion be agreed to - put and negatived. 17. EXCISION OF AREA IN THE WEST MACDONNELL NATIONAL PA R K - RECOMMENDATION TO ADM INISTRATOR-MOTION AGREED TO: The Minister for Conservation (Mr Coulter) moved - That, in accordance with the Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act, this Assembly resolves to rccommcnd to the Administrator that, pursuant to section 13(1), he amends the noticc o f declaration as part o f the West MacDonnell National Park o f the Northern Territory, portion 3719, Glen Helen locality, so as to excise an area o f 101.78 hectares more or less, being Northern Territory portions 4626, 4627, 4718 and public road and being more particularly delineated on survey plan S94/24 lodged with the Surveyor-General, Darwin.
