Insurance Arrangements In accordance with Treasurers Direction R2.1 Insurance Arrangements, the following information provides an overview of the agencys insurance arrangements and details the key mitigation strategies and processes in each insurable risk category @# As a general principle, and in accordance with the Treasurers Directions, the Department self insures its risks and manages potential exposures through extensive mitigation practices. Where insurable risk events occur, the Department meets these costs as they fall due. $ " in R2.1, the Department has in place the following mitigation strategies and processes: &" Z &" | | &" > > | | &" | &" | property and assets facility, plant and equipment | | | ! | ! &" | | &" | | ! | &| # The costs of self insurance claims are monitored by the Department with the exception of property and assets insurance category which are not separately recorded, but form a component of the larger repairs and maintenance costs.
