It was announced this past week that the Demons will host the Collingwood Football Club at Alice Springs on Saturday February 24, the first time the elite womens competition will be played in the Red Centre. The deal follows on from Melbournes AFL team hosting fixtures at TIO Traeger Park for the past four seasons. The fixture will likely see AFLW superstars such as Melbournes Daisy Pearce and Collingwoods Moana Hope and Steph Chiocci play in front of Alice Springs fans.
