A closed episode of treatment is one where there is a valid date of cessation. A completed episode is one where there is a valid date of cessation and the reason for cessation is completed. Health Research Health research spans population health, the burden of disease, non-communicable and communicable diseases, social and environmental determinants of health, health systems and information systems. Research is undertaken by the agency and external organisations such as the Menzies School of Health Research and the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health, which have multi-disciplinary research programs.
