12 Speech $1million has been given to the Darwin City Council for a range of projects to redevelop the Nightcliff foreshore. The Defence of Darwin Experience was successfully completed and opened for the 70th Anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin, and there is $150 000 for its operation. Budget2012 continues the Governments $1million sponsorship of the Darwin Festival, and theres $2.8million to host the 2013 ArafuraGames. These initiatives, and many others across the Territory, will continue to enhance the Territorys lifestyle. Conclusion Madam Speaker, Budget2012 is a responsible Budget. It supports Territory families with generous concessions and initiatives and it is clearly focused on gearing up for growth. The Territorys future is bright. Budget2012 positions the Territory for the step change ahead by maintaining strength in our economy, supporting jobs ahead of the flowthrough effects of increased private investment, and supporting Territory families for the most significant phase of growth in our history. I commend Budget2012 to the House.
