Description

'I commenced work on this history in November 1982 when I made my first trip to Bradshaw's Run. I was very impressed by the spectacular beauty of the country and by the isolation. My respect increased for those who settled that remote country, with, at times, not much more than their courage and determination. The main source for research was Bradshaw's Log book which gives full details of the running of a station. It is a typical diary written by men, in a man's pioneering world, as there is no mention of women, furniture, or the softer things of life." - Introduction,
