Misuse of Drugs Act Annual Report Pursuant to Sections 19ZA 2016-17 Financial Year Under the Misuse of Drugs Act (the Act), the Commissioner of Police has a legislative reporting requirement pertaining to the use of the Act in accordance with s 19ZA: '(1) The Commissioner of Police must give a report to the Minister that provides the following information for each financial year: (a) The number of authorisations given by senior police officers during the financial year; (b) The areas that were subject to those authorisation; (c) The periods during which those authorisations had effect; (d) The number of occasions when, in the course of the exercise of the powers conferred by this part, a dangerous drug or precursor was seized. (2) The report for a financial year must be given to the Minister within 3 months after the end of the financial year. (3) The Minister must table a copy of the report in the Legislative Assembly within 7 sitting days after the Minister receives the Report.' Report pursuant to s 19ZA( 1) of the Act: (a) the number of authorisations given by senior police officers during the financial year: 45 (b) the areas that were subject to those authorisations: Erldunda (6) Adelaide River (14), Kulgera (3), Mataranka (1 ), Corroborree Park (3), Oenpelli (2), Katherine (1 ), Kalkaringi (1), Marrakai (1), Roper River (1), Roper Terrace (1), Tindal (2), South Alligator (2), Three Ways (1), Pine Creek (1), Roe Creek (1), Marranboy (1), Jabiru (1) Ross Highway (1) Ali Curung (1) (c) the periods during which those authorisations had effect: 1 . Adelaide River - 02/07/2016 to 11/07/2016 2. Adelaide River- 13/07/2016 to 14/07/2016 3. Adelaide River- 14/07/2016 to 15/07/2016 4. Oenpelli Road - 02/08/2016 to 04/08/2016 5.
