Presented by: Mr Allan McEwan, Customer Relations Manager, Ms Frances Abbott, Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Culture. Note: Three documents were tabled for the consideration of the Board. Chair has asked Mr Allan McEwan to invite the Health Complaints Commissioner to give a presentation to the RDH Board in February 2012. 14 November 2011 Apprenticeship and Indigenous Training Program Presented by: Adam Walding The Campus Development and Facilities Manager came to discuss options regarding getting this initiative started. Some areas have been identified as potential placements sites, these are: Biomedical Engineering, Horticulture and Security. Coroners Office Presented by: Kathy Ganley Kathy talked about the good/positive relationship between the Coroners Office and Royal Darwin Hospital. Kathy touched on the importance of having clear concise patient records; this is an on-going education process at RDH that Dr Sara Watson oversees. She also said that the clinicians in the ED are reluctant to sign death certificates; this makes it difficult for the Coroners Officer. Kathy also extended an invitation to the Board and RDH Consultants to attend the Coroners Conference that is being held in Darwin in 2014. 12 December 2011 Presentation Media Management Presented by: Ms Kirsty Reid, Media Manager, Top End Hospital Network.
