Share the news of a new arrival with a Centralian Advocate birth notice General Notices ABORIGINAL LAND RIGHTS (NORTHERN TERRITORY) ACT 1976 WAKAYA ALYAWARRE (REPEAT) LAND CLAIM (No 130) NOTICE OF INTENTION TO COMMENCE INQUIRY The Central Land Council, on behalf of Aboriginals claiming to have a traditional land claim to the land more particularly described in the schedule hereto (the claim area), having lodged an application with the Aboriginal Land Commissioner pursuant to s 50(1) of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 for the determination of their claim, the Aboriginal Land Commissioner intends to commence an inquiry concerning the claim on Friday 15 September 2017 at 10:30am in Courtroom 9, Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court Building, State Square, Darwin. Schedule Wakaya Alyawarre (Repeat) Land Claim (No 130) All that area of land bounded: (i) On the north by a line commencing at a point being the north east corner of Epenarra Station (Pastoral Lease 795) and running east to the meridian of east longitude 136 degrees 15 minutes and from thence; (ii) On the east by a line commencing at the point of intersection of the said meridian and the line extended east from the northern boundary of Epenarra Station and running south therefrom to the point of intersection of the said meridian and a line extended in a westerly direction from the southern boundary of Soudan Station (Pastoral Lease 834) and thence generally south west to the point of intersection of the northern boundary of Annitowa Station (Pastoral Lease 792) and the eastern boundary of Elkedra Station (Pastoral Lease 781) and thence north by part of the eastern boundary of Elkedra Station and further north to the point of intersection of a line extended east from the southern point of the most eastern boundary of Kurundi Station (Pastoral Lease 841) and of a line extended north from the eastern boundary of Elkedra Station and thence; (iii) On the south by a line commencing at the last mentioned point of intersection and running west to the southern point of the most eastern boundary of Kurundi Station and thence; (iv) On the west by a line running north from the southern point of the most eastern boundary of Kurundi Station to the north-east corner of Epenarra Station. Whilst the claim area has not been surveyed, it constitutes the administrative parcel number NT Portion 4246. All persons wishing to establish an interest in any part of the claim area, or who wish to contest the claim, or who claim to be adversely affected thereby, or who on any other ground wish to be heard by the Commissioner concerning the claim should, on or before Friday, 8 September 2017 give to the undersigned written notice of their interest and a brief outline of the points they wish to raise. At the same time, they should provide a copy of that notice to the Central Land Council, PO Box 3321, Alice Springs NT 0871, and to the Solicitor for the Northern Territory, GPO Box 1722, Darwin NT 0801.
