The disability sector is currently undergoing a dramatic transformation, with the National Disability Insurance Scheme creating many career opportunities for people from a diverse range of backgrounds. With the NDIS set to be fully implemented in the Northern Territory by 2019, people with disabilities will have much greater choice and control over their support options. Currently they employ more than 300 people in the NT, providing support to people with disability, children and young people in out of home care, immigration support and aged care services.
