We find innovative ways to work with all people in our communities. Through our relationships we partner with people with disability, provide safe and caring homes for children and young people, support for refugees, asylum seekers, flexible aged care and mental health supports. Put your passion to good purpose ARE you wanting to make a real difference to someones quality of life? Be one of the many passionate, caring and dedicated workers who give people with disabilities the power to live the lives they want, and you can. Life Without Barriers is an Australian, values-based social purpose, not-for-profit organisation that partners with people to change lives for the better. Though they are national, they work locally in the NT and the focus is on building a sustainable and engaged workforce to provide meaningful outcomes for the people we support, the people are at the heart of what we do. They are keen to work with people who are open to new ways of thinking; who value genuine, long-lasting relationships and; who are flexible, courageous and believe in opportunity for all. If this is you, we want you on our team. Working in the disability sector is truly a personally rewarding and fulfilling career option, filled with lots of exciting challenges and opportunities. The disability sector is far beyond your average nine-to-five desk job besides being rewarding and challenging, the work hours are flexible and youll receive ongoing training to help you grow in your role. The disability sector is currently undergoing a dramatic transformation, with the National Disability Insurance Scheme creating many career opportunities for people from a diverse range of backgrounds. With the NDIS set to be fully implemented in the Northern Territory by 2019, people with disabilities will have much greater choice and control over their support options. More people will receive the support they need to get up in the morning, go out in the community, find work and do the activities they love. You can become part of this with Life Without Barriers. Currently they employ more than 300 people in the NT, providing support to people with disability, children and young people in out of home care, immigration support and aged care services.
