Bakewell Primary School Attendance Bakewells target for 2017 is to maintain a student attendance average of 95% or above for the year. Department of Education (DoE) Attendance strategy states Every Child, Every Day. Please remember to notify the school when your child is absent. This may be done by phoning the front office on 8997 7400 or emailing, admin.bakewell@ntschools.net or the class teacher or alternately you can send a note with your child on their return to school. Woolworths Earn and Learn Please bring all your Woolworths Earn and Learn sticker cards to the school as the promotion has now finished. The more completed sticker cards we receive the more resources we can order! Gold Medal for best team Earlier in the year she won Gold, Silver and Bronze at an interclub invitational. NT Cricket October School Holiday Program Dates: 2 & 3 October 2017 Palmerston Cricket Club 9.00am-2pm Includes: Shirt, Cap, Bat and Ball $100 Sports Voucher accepted Register at www.PlayCricket.com (0830) School Counselling Service The School Counsellor provides expertise and support to address social, emotional and behavioural problems students might experience which may impact on school engagement and learning outcomes. If you identify that your child needs extra wellbeing support please complete the online referral form https:// form.jotform.co/BakewellPrimary/SchoolCounselling Referralform Once the referral is received: - School Counsellor will make contact with the referrer (Pastoral Care teacher, Parent or External Agency) to gain further information about the wellbeing needs of the student. - School Counsellor will contact the students parent(s) to arrange initial assessment meeting (depending on the needs of the student the pastoral care teacher may be required to attend this meeting). An initial assessment meeting is an opportunity for the parent to discuss the students needs and review the students wellbeing history. This assessment provides an opportunity to explain the counselling process, including confidentiality and duty of care, schedule appointments and answer any questions from either student, teachers or parents. - Individual Counselling sessions are scheduled for the student in consultation with the parent and pastoral care teacher.
