Abstract

The Victoria River is located on the Victoria Highway 195km (approx.) by road south west of Katherine in the Gregory National Park. It is proposed to construct a boat ramp and jetty facility on the Victoria River behind the Victoria River Roadhouse. The location of the proposed boat ramp and jetty facility is the current area from where tours of the Victoria River are launched. Geotechnical data was obtained from the site to ascertain the suitability of the terrain and ground conditions for both the boat ramp and proposed access road. - Introduction,
