Printed at lower centre "Gide éditeur. NEW-VICTORIA (Port Essington.)" Printed at lower right "Imp. par Lemercier, à Paris." Blind stamp at lower centre "GIDE / Éditeur / Paris". In April 1839 Dumont D'Urville arrived at Victoria Settlement, Port Essington, only five months after its establishment. Louis Le Breton was a marine artist and was the official artist on the voyage of exploration under the command of Dumont D'Urville.,
