The new build is complete and Class 4 moved into their gorgeous green room last Wednesday morning after our Arrente teacher Theresa conducted a smoking ceremony to cleanse the new building. We have a new outlook from new windows, of the school grounds, the range and the tall trees. We also have new fish and a jungle of new plants to keep the air clean. The children began their new crafts with new knitting needles and learned to knit Fairisle, thank you Kelsie for coming in and showing us the ropes. The children are all very ready to continue with the second Norse main lesson, hearing stories of Thor, Loki and Odin and of course giants, dwarves and trolls. The History of Writing main lesson will be next semester and with that the children will receive their beautiful fountain pens. Throughout this term children will have some tasks to bring home to work towards preparing for this special event. It would be wonderful if you could support your child with these tasks please. Our parent meeting is Week 4 this term, at 3:00pm held in our lovely new room, chats about camp, the play and maybe an update on the fort. Hope you all had a delightful week off camping and enjoying the cooler weather.
