Cassia One Do you remember when I brought in a bucket of olives from my backyard? How the children washed them, sorted them, took out the stems, slit one side and made brine? The big highlight of our week was opening the bottled olives we procured in first term. Darcy: Yummy, delicious arent they? Alex: Salty, mmm dont want it. Ally: Tastes like real olives. Can I have another and another? Sonny: Salty and juicy. Thomas: Tastes bit sour. Peace: Yummy. Eliza: Mmm Evie: Salty and nice. Maya: MmmIts yum! Thank you Margie for helping us out this week. The lemon grass you bought in was made into tea and well received by the children. Its really special when children can see this process of cutting the lemon grass and steeping it, then drinking it. Thank you Robina for the home-made curry paste. We have added it to the soup for two weeks in a row now. Our soup was over flowing with our home grown carrots, celery, spinach and chard. The broccoli is almost ready. Have a lovely week, Cherie and Neens Subscribe Past IssuesShare Translate Newsletter - Term 3 Week 4 file:///P:/1Territory Stories/Alice Steiner School/Newsletter - Term%A0... 12 of 30 27/01/2017 3:26 PM
