Kindy News *** ALL EARLY CHILDHOOD NEWS *** Please note this date in your diary: Thursday 25th AUGUST at 7pm in Cassia 1 Parent evening for all parents in the early years - from Playgroup and RSB to Cassia. We will be talking about how we look at and support the senses in our growing children in our early childhood programs. Steiner identified twelve senses, certainly more than the classic five! We will be focussing on the foundational 4 - well being, boundaries (also called touch), movement and balance. The idea is, that these senses can be nourished and this supports the child in his/her whole development. The evening will also give you an understanding of what your child experiences every day in the classroom. Ruby Saltbush Hello everyone. The weather is up and down at the moment so please remember to have both cold and warm weather clothes in the childrens bags. This week we have been learning the Row, row, row, your boat and Jack is quiet down in his box until someone opens the lid. There is also a large truck which has been moving things in our room. Change of beginning of the day As the season grows warmer we are moving into outdoor play in the mornings to draw the children and their experiences into the Cassia program for next year. As a result we will have a staff member on duty outside at 8.30 and only be opening the door at 8.40. This will allow the children a small play prior to our morning program, then the children and parents can be fully involved in our morning circle. If you are unable to stay for circle time you can say good bye when you are outside at play time. Talking to the teacher The mornings is a time to focus on the children and the coming day. Please leave any question or comments, notifications in the communication book and see me at the end of the day. For longer chats please make an appointment.
