Gamba grass (Andropogon gayanus) is a Weed of National Significance that threatens economic,
environmental and cultural values throughout northern Australia. Infestations are present in the Top End of
the Northern Territory, Kimberley region of Western Australia and the Cape York, Atherton Tablelands and
coastal areas of North Queensland. The aim of the plan is to outline a co-ordinated, evidence-based approach to the management of gamba grass throughout Australia. The Plan is supported by current ecological knowledge, legislative and policy requirements, and plans from local to national level.,
