This report, commissioned by the Northern Land Council, reflects the wide-ranging perspectives of representatives of the traditional land-owning communities of an area within the catchment known as the focus area. The report has taken a very broad approach to interpreting and documenting the Aboriginal social and cultural values of the Daly region. It discusses perspectives held by the Aboriginal community that can be referred to as social impact issues. Within the report special attention is given to the Aboriginal cultural values of water. The key recommendation for a regional land-use agreement could provide the framework within which these and other issues raised in this report might be addressed.,
