Peter McLean kicked 6 for the Magpies and was instrumental in a 8 goal second quarter that set up the win of the Magpies and they now eye an unlikely finals birth. Kalano played well in the final quarter to kick five straight goals but it was all too late for the Bombers who now have to beat the Camels and hope that other results go their way to play finals. Beswick had all the play with Jonathan Jackson kicking 6 goals and Josh Blitner leading all plays on the field for possessions. Jilkminggan are now out of final contention and finish with a home game next Sun against the Arnhem Crows. Katherine Camels 16.6.102 def Arnhem Crows 6.7.43 The Katherine Camels warmed up for their final campaign by easily accounting for a disappointing Arnhem Crows outfit. The Camels, led by Nick Abbott, outplayed the Crows who showed little of the dash we have seen in the past. Leith Waterbury was the big target up forward who set the scene and it was Felshy who benefited with four goal and several assists. The Crows will need to do better to progress in the finals and it could have been worse without the efforts of Damien Bulunbarra and Dwayne Martin in defence. The Camels always give 100 per cent and it was no different in this game as they worked hard to win the ball and then spread it well to open the field up and go forward. Riley Ross continues his good form and along with Andrew Symes won the hard ball all day.
