Under the Home Improvement Scheme Territory homeowner-occupiers can apply to receive vouchers of up to $2,000 to go towards minor home improvements, repairs or maintenance works on the condition they use registered, local small businesses or tradies and contribute at least the same amount. The success of the Home Improvement Scheme demonstrates just how out of touch Labor Opposition Leader Michael Gunner is with the business community, Mr Styles said. The Opposition Leader has committed to scrapping the scheme if elected in August which would destroy the positive momentum the initiative has generated for Territory tradies."
