www.katherinetimes.com.au KATHERINE TIMES, WEDNESDAY MAY 1 2013 11 HUNDREDS of primary and high school students commemorated Anzac Day with ceremonies at school on Wednesday and took part in the dawn service and march to the Katherine cenotaph on Thursday. The student council members from Clyde Fenton, Casuarina Street Primary School, Katherine South and St Josephs College conducted special assemblies at school, which included the last post and a minute silence to remember the fallen. While students from Katherine High School, St Josephs College, MacFarlane, Katherine South, Casuarina Street, Katherine School of the Air and Clyde Fenton Primary Schools marched and laid wreaths at the cenotaph on Anzac Day. Casuarina Street Primary school captain Ben Woodland said his school had been preparing from their Anzac Day ceremony and special display for weeks. Students from Katherine schools commemorated Anzac Day by organising special events at their schools, or by participating in the services and the annual Anzac Day march. >> education ... with tamara penniket Students celebrate Anzacs
