Driver E-News Driver E-News iss 10 16 Jun 2016.htm[19/08/2016 3:43:24 PM] term. Please bring all bags to the farm. Plants/Pallet Benches for Sale There are some great plants for sale at the Front Office. Have a look next time you are in. They make excellent gift ideas. Pallet benches made by Year 5/6 students from recycled wooden pallets are also for sale at $50 each. Compulsory School Uniform All students in NT government schools from Transition through to Year 9 are required to wear an authorised school uniform. Driver Primary School Council has endorsed the following compulsory school uniform policy: Students must wear the Driver Primary School shirt, either royal blue shorts/pants, royal blue skorts, royal blue skirt or Driver Primary dress. Year 6 students are encouraged to wear the Year 6 Driver shirt. In cooler weather, a plain royal blue or red warm long sleeved jumper/jacket over the uniform shirt is permitted outside the classroom. Inside the classroom any jumper/jacket is permitted. Royal blue or red (school colours) leggings may be worn under the school uniform or royal blue or red (school colours) slacks/tracksuit in place of the uniformed pants. Where royal blue or red leggings/pants/jackets are not available, black is permitted. Jackets, leggings/track pants must be plain with no added detail (sparkles, patterns, sequins etc.) Denim is not permitted at any time (except on Jeans for Genes Day with a Gold Coin Donation). Students are required to wear a royal blue Driver Primary School sun safe hat that protects their face, neck and ears whenever they are outside. (A bucket/broad brimmed hat, with minimum 6cm brim). Baseball caps are not considered sun protective and are therefore not acceptable. If a student is in a cap: They are to put their cap back into their bag, it is not uniform OR sun safe. These are not to be worn to PE or Garden or at play time etc. If a student does not have a hat at playtime, they need to sit on the purple curved wall. If a student is in a sun safe bucket type hat but it is not the royal blue DPS hat, they are not in school uniform, so would need to sit on the purple curved wall. They are able to participate with that hat during PE and Garden etc. as it is sun safe.
