21 This years sample shows a similar age distribution to that found last year, with a small decrease in the older age group and increase in the under 25 year old group. Regarding all other respondent characteristics, the sample appears to be similar to that of previous years and so allows comparison over time. Figure 1: Age distribution of participants in the NT IDRS samples, 2002-2009 Source: IDRS participant interviews This year, smaller numbers of IDRS participants reported recent treatment (Figure 2), with the range of treatments distributed more evenly than in previous years. Over time, the use of methadone as a treatment has been replaced by the use of Subutex.
