Strategies for 2007-2010: l Develop and review section, office and individual plans, which allocate the work priorities of the strategic action plan. l Review our service delivery performance. l Improve the dissemination and sharing of information and staff interactions within the Commission legislation and Policy goal statement: A key participant in the development of relevant legislation and policy initiatives in accordance with our vision, mission and values. Strategies for 2007-2010 l Maintain a strategy which contributes to the development of relevant legislation and policy. l Continue to lead and participate in networks which provide a resource for policy and law reform input. l Identify priority areas of policy and law reform and allocate resources to enable input into the development and debate in these areas from all offices. human resource management and teamwork goal statement: Foster a positive and professional work environment with equitable practices focusing on performance and promoting teamwork including between regions, offices and sections. Strategies for 2007-2010 l Promote career enrichment in an open, transparent and accountable manner. l Develop and implement staff orientation, training and development. l Maintain a recruitment and selection strategy that focuses on the employment and retention of high calibre personnel to continue to provide quality legal services. l Foster a healthy work/life balance by promoting healthy lifestyles through stress management; a flexible work environment, and making relevant programs available to staff. l Review and promote the Risk Management Strategy and OH & S Policy. l Develop a diversity in employment plan. Working locations and environments goal statement: Ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment for employees and clients with an efficient support system for the provision of services at appropriate locations. Strategies for 2007-2010: l Review work locations to enhance performance, security and confidentiality for clients and staff, with priority on regional offices and external workplaces. l Endeavour to provide staff with appropriate technology and support services including staff in remote areas.
