| Sustainable Water Use4 Water Policy Principles A Territory Labor Government will be guided by the following principles. Respect for science Labor will respect the science and ensure it is at the heart of sustainable water allocation policy. Respect for the views of the Community All members of the community deserve to have a say, particularly those with direct interests in water allocations. Fairness All members of the community should have an equal opportunity to utilise scarce water resources. Clear, open and transparent processes Water resources must be accessed through a process that is open, transparent and gives the community and industry confidence that all applicants are treated equally.
