Description
This report provides broad information on the vegetation map unit boundaries of Garig Gunak Barlu National Park, Northern Territory. The survey area, of 270 km2, is located approximately 570 km, by road, north east of Darwin on the Cobourg Peninsula. The vegetation descriptions for Garig Gunak Barlu National Park were obtained from various sources, including the analysis of field plot data, various published reports and from previous vegetation surveys. It is a brief synopsis only, an overview, and is not designed as an exhaustive treatise on the vegetation of Cobourg Peninsula. Similarly the physical geography, geology etc of the Park is only briefly described.,
