We are VERY EXCITED to announce that the application process for the second Jobs Australia Foundation, Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) has commenced. Yesterday at the Canberra Raiders Closing the Gap match the Jobs Australia Foundation and Huawei Technologies launched the 2013-14 Indigenous Youth Leadership Program. The 2 year program which will commence in January 2013 and conclude in October 2014 will provide 24 Indigenous young people, 18-25 who are emerging leaders with the opportunity to participate in a program that will cultivate and nurture their leadership potential and skills. The Foundation will also provide 8 Indigenous mentors (1 from each state and territory) with the opportunity to support a team of three young people from each state and territory to participate in and complete the program. As graduates from the 2010-11 recently commented the Foundation is looking for inspirational, deadly, courageous and motivated individuals to participate in this once in a life time opportunity. People that have faced adversity and barriers in life however have taken their experiences and used them to grow, evolve and lead and are keen to continue their leadership journey.
