3 President Dan Easton Hello Fellow Rotarians, Thank you! Thank you for a wonderful year, thank you for your support and advice and thank you for all you hard and tireless work making our club fun and successful. The year for me went by so quickly, the first couple of months you are finding your feet, the next couple of months you are building your framework for the year. Christmas comes and goes and before you know it, its another changeover dinner. Some of the highlights for me this year were the Indonesian Student BBQ at East Point, the Salute to Service dinner at Pee Wees, the Anzac Day Service and seeing our members wear their medals with pride and of course the Ladies Long Lunch. Our goal as a Rotary Club is to service the community both locally and worldwide. This year I think we achieved these goals fantastically, locally with large donations to Menzies School of Health and the NT Leukaemia Foundation, internationally with the Ghana Well project. Providing clean drinking water to these the poorest of people will save more lives than all our other projects put together. I think this project particularly is worth continued support, perhaps through Rotary International where we have maturing funds or something that the club could do on its own. The strength of our club comes from its members and we are a very strong club. The combination of characters within our club offers a wide range of skills which comes together to benefit the community in all our projects and pursuits, fifty plus friends, colleagues and workmates that make a difference. We cannot forget that everyone is a volunteer and gives freely what time they can, and I thank them for it. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my board once again for without their experience and efforts none of this would have been possible. And finally I would like to thank Rebecca for her love and support through my year as president, her computer and email skills made life much easier for me. Yours in Rotary, Daniel Easton Past President Our club inducted 7 new members during 2014-15
