6 Fund Raisers Chocolate Wheel at the Royal Darwin Show it ran on 24, 25, 26 July. 2014 marked the 52nd consecutive year of the presence of the Rotary Club of Darwin with our Chocolate Wheel. It was the 63rd annual Royal Darwin Show. As usual, family and friends of club members helped out over the three days what would we do without them! John Emslie was the head of the organising committee. Final total spins were 960, well up on last years record of 876. 138x4 hour shifts were worked by all thats 552 voluntary hours. This figure doesnt include all the planning and preparatory work undertaken prior to the 3 days. Initial profit was $30,570.28 from the record 960 spins. There were $29,050 in cash prizes and 18 major prizes. Two major prizes left over, both TomTom GPS, were sold to Ross and Jim for $100 each, taking the profit to $30,770.28.
