FRIDAY OCTOBER 23 2015 OPINION 49 V1 - NTNE01Z01MA ON HUMAN BARBIE AND KEN DOLLS Which one is Barbie? And which one is Ken? Sam Goding Lmao, not even close Ravi BJ Edwards ON LOVERS REVENGE This bloke is my hero, on a side note though this sheila is down right crazy an may need a dose of reality. Ben Kahler I dont find this funny at all. The girl is admitting to regret that mistake she did 5 years ago, she is begging for forgiveness, she needs to be loved once again! 5 years begging for forgiveness? That sounds like real love to me! Abuu Ayda ON TIME TRAVEL DEFINITELY POSSIBLE Yep. Take a plane to the West Coast of America and you arrive at about the same time you left Sydney! Darda Gregurev Time travel is proven to be possible, but only in one direction. Pete Fagan Scientists said not that long ago time travel was imposs ible. Now others say it is possible. Its a bit like that Global Warming crap I think. Steven Green Yeah Im going into the future right NOW one second at a time! Wish me luck Dave Martin Time travel to the future already exists with satellites because of the way gravity affects time. Atomic clocks on satellites are readjusted by tiny fractions of a millisecond because they run faster than an atomic clock on the ground. We are literally travelling forwards in time relative to satellites by tiny amounts. Time is all relative. Ageng Sudjio BULL SHIT Mark Dickson ON EXECS SEDUCTION AND SACKING CLAIMS Silly silly man Mok Pinder Shouldnt have let your blind eye lead you! Sue Jamieson ON DRIVER POSTING PICTURE OF DEAD TEEN Sadly todays society with social media John Good Mongrel. Karma will get you. Tanya Brown We are literally travelling forwards in time relative to satellites by tiny amounts. SEE BELOW ON CHILDRENS PLAYGROUND Every parent and teacher should be outraged by what happened this week at Ludmilla School. Government can come at any time and strip away our childrens playgrounds from our schools. This government has no idea! Bob Ludmilla What a debacle of the Giles government. Taking childrens play space. Not good enough to let them keep their play equipment but take the rest of the playground. What right do you have to make these decisions and not ask! When will you ever learn what consultation is? ON MANY THINGS BHP record a 7% production increase yet no new jobs. WTF. I predict a back to the future news event in another 26 years. Trophy hunting should be banned. These people are sick. Is Cas Square charging/fining their itinerants who annoy, disgust & humbug everyone, or just their customers who actually spend money?! Have always tried to support local businesses and fought against online shopping for years! Sick of going to the major chain shops to be told that the catalogue items are for down south. Final straw trying to support a small local sporting shop. Wanted to buy a helmet .. None in my sons size. Was prepared to pay up front in full if they could order in his size. Answer ...No. So online I went. Geez....power outage again!! CLP government cant blame the storms, the lightning or bombings today with many, many $millions from the sale of TIO and the Port, topped up with infrastructure funding from the commonwealth youd think one of them would raise a real issue like fixing this ongoing thirdworld power supply, instead of building a rugby stadium nobody wants. I hate it when someone says never say never theyve just said it twice I dont take advice off a hypocrite. The Virginian R anderson I live at darwin river and my rates went up $200 and all we get is rubbish removed from bs tip. Dont encourage them to do it again fed up. Hally Please Ask the convoy of 4x4 drivers how their vehicles went in the sand on the trip to Bawaka outside Nhulunbuy over the weekend. Haggis Nhulunbuy My understanding is that the NT Police traffic division comprises only about a dozen staff, 3 or 4 of whom work permanently in the office. That leaves about 8 officers only patrolling the nutcases on our roads. Time for more resources! I really really miss the frill necks, it used to be a daily treat playing peekaboo with a frilly on a tree trunk, even in the northern suburbs! Never see them anymore. Miss Thefrill, NT YES I think so, I own a dog and rabbit and the rabbit wouldnt take to being somewhere else. NIGEL BOHM, WULAGI YES I used to own a dog and I think a sitter would give more one-to-one attention. ASHLEY CARTHY, DARWIN CITY YES A sitter has less pets to look after, so I think the pet would be better off. STAN MATTHEWS, FARRAR Speak Up: Would you prefer to leave your pet with a pet sitter over daycare options? DONT KNOW Im not a pet owner, so I havent really given it any thought. AAGE SELDAL, DARWIN CITY LETTER OF THE DAY Indifference to rape victim is beyond belief I WONDER how many of your readers have themselves experienced rape or even been related to or close to a victim of a violent rape? The terror, pain, humiliation and multiple other emotions and physical reactions cannot be readily imagined. To become pregnant as a result compounds the trauma. A victim in these circumstances needs and should receive compassionate care and appropriate assistance. When the victim is a young woman who has fled a wartorn country to seek sanctuary, the state she must be reduced to does not bear imagining. So we wanted to stop the boats. And to do so we are inflicting pain and suffering possibly worse than that from which the refugees are fleeing. I am beginning to believe that Australians are a subhuman race to be able to brush aside what is being done in our name instead of being out in the streets protesting. Or writing to and ringing up our politicians and moving heaven (does it really exist?) and earth to get an immediate change in policy. Are we all totally without empathy and compassion? Rosemary Jacob, Fannie Bay YES I have a pet sitter walk my dog twice a day, sitters are fantastic. MICHELLE MAJOR-GOLDSMITH, DARWIN CITY Sally Harris, Louis Harris and Billy Barlow cant wait for the mango and spoon races at this weekends Berry Springs Mango Festival Picture: ISABELLA MOORE PICK OF THE PICS
