Item Discussion Comments by members Presidents theme for 2015 2016 (Having fun through participation) Continuing the way we do things, supporting the community and having fun Endorsed by members, no suggested changes to the way we conduct our business as Rotarians in the Rotary Club of Darwin. We continue to do our own thing! We should always continue to have funding through participation and enjoy each others fellowship. Support Membership growth Target for club 2015-2016 Much discussion on this subject, suggested target range from 55 to 65. Board to decide on target. We need to explain what we do to potential new Rotarians. Select a number of younger potential members but mentor and allow business networking New Rotarian must have a mentor Support to Rotary International Rotary Foundation through fundraising Target giving for 2015-2016 Members supported this objective and agreed to leave it to the Foundation Fundraising Committee to provide targets and suggested outcomes Attendance at weekly meetings or participation at projects/ fundraisers Either/or, or combination of both Discussions range from weekly attendance to members participation in fundraisers and projects. Consensus was members should attend and participate whenever possible, given their commitments and family. Members who have not attended for long periods should be contacted by Board Members to ascertain why. Fellowship and vocational visits How often and where do we go All agreed this was a hugely successful program with many benefits to all. Visits should be diversified which will be of interest to all. We should plan for at least three a year Support to projects local , national or international English Awards, POOTY, Darwin High School, BEAT Foundation Support to which ones or all, direct funding or fun raising Consensus was, we should support local and national projects through fundraising. Implement an evaluation process to ensure alignment with club aims Our direct support and ownership of our annual awards programs like POOTY, BEAT, Ian McGregor Awards, DHS Award program must continue.
