There will be a Fathers Day Stall in the conference room. Your child will be able to purchase a gift during their class time. In order to purchase a gift they will need to bring between $2 - $5 with them on Thursday 3 September. The stall will also be open on Friday 4 September during recess for students who were absent or forgot their money. If you are able to help with the stall during the day, please see staff at front office. Thank you. SRC news The SRC were extremely busy last week organising lunchtime activities in the library and dressing up in costume. Thank you to Mr. King for joining in the festivities and dressing up too. And Ms Miranda did an awesome job decorating the library BOOKS LIGHT up Your WORLD. The SRC would like to thank everyone for your participation last week for BOOK WEEK. The library was buzzing with readers of all ages! This Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-5:30 pm at the Darwin Entertainment Centre there will be a presentation to all budding authors for the 2015 Young Territory Author Awards. There will be authors from 4/5 Dobrini and 5/6 Draper. The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Darwin Katrina Fong Lim will be presenting the awards and participation certificates. Our Wanguri students book are available to read and borrow from the Casuarina Library. Mara Dobrini DCO Activities Emails from the DCO Community Database have been sent out to Defence families regarding: Family Tasties Quiz Night Malak Marketplace Taxation and Financial Wellbeing Info Session Child Info Session: Eating and Sleeping Kidsmart Wellbeing Program We are having some fantastic feedback from parents regarding this programme; children are coming home from school praising the course and what it is helping them understand and achieve! Emily Smyth and Amber Dunn for being selected to represent the Darwin Cluster in the NT Athletics Championships in September. Emily will compete in shot-put and discus and Amber will compete in long jump and the 100m sprint. David Kennon and Balin Mayne for being selected in the Darwin Region NT Cross Country Championship Squad. The boys will take part in the NT School Sport Cross Country event at East Point Reserve on the 3 of September. We wish you all the best!!! Adelaide United drop in..
