While partici pating in international CSR initiatives, including the UN Global Compact, EITI1, and IPIECA2, INPEX voluntarily manages the social and environmental aspects of its oper ated projects based on the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standard3. Q Two large-scale projects will contribute to a stable energy supply The Ichthys LNG Project is set to deliver 70% of its annual production volume of 8.4 million tons to Japanese power and gas companies for 15 years. This volume, combined with the annual 2.5 million tons produced by the Abadi LNG Project, will supply 10 to 15% of the annual imports of LNG in Japan. Securing resources and energy is an important issue for Japan, and INPEX is confident that both of these projects, with their relatively low security risk, will significantly contribute to a stable supply of energy.
