The Essington School Darwin 11 General Notices were fantastic! Thank you to all my Art Club students this term for making my Tuesday afternoons so much fun! Cathy Huggett Science Alive This term has been a very productive one in the Science Alive After School Club. We have had fun with experiments including exploding lunch bags and soda rockets, and have learned about the different parts of plants and of the human body. During the final lesson this term, students created an invention out of a variety of different materials, then presented them to the rest of the Club. It was fabulous to see everyones inventions. The students showed such vivid imagination in their designs, and it was very impressive to see such wonderful use of scientific terminology and consideration of a range of factors in each design. Science Alive will be moving to Monday afternoons in Term 3. We hope you all have a happy and safe holiday, and look forward to seeing our budding scientists again, and some of their friends, next term.
