They were a proud representation of The Essington School, and performed with great professionalism. Our WAR themed dances were an uplifting perspective on the equality theme. We were honoured to receive awards for: On the Homefront (Year 6-8 Dancers) Entertaining and Emotive Story Dance. Surviving Post War (Year 9 Dancers) An Energetic Large Troupe Presentation. Spirit of the Anzacs (Year 3-5 Dance Fitness) Audience Appeal. On the Battlefield (Year 6 & 9 Commando Boys) Impressive Large Troupe Performance. A very big thank you to the army of parents and teachers who helped make the day-time rehearsals and evening performances a smooth process. Also, thank you to the older students, especially Rian Carlson, Liam Aughterson, Max Ingles-Graham, Yasna Delo, and Brielle Portelli for their great leadership. WAR Dance Showcase Our Showcase is next week!! Lisa Svara Dance Teacher After School Clubs Art Club News This week, we wrapped up another very fun and successful term in After School Art Club. The students spent the term making puppets, and after many weeks of being up to our elbows in sticky newspaper, we finally saw the spectacular results of all our hard work! The puppets were simply amazing, and each one so unique. All of my Art Clubbers had a lot of fun making their little characters, deciding what they would look like, and the type of persona they would adopt.
