38 LIFESTYLE SUNDAY MARCH 1 2015 NTNE01Z01MA - V1 Emily Bafwe SARAH and Fredy Bafwe have a beautiful new daughter in their lives. Emily Bafwe is an active little bub and has charmed her parents with her cheeky smile and big brown eyes. Fredy loves it, Sarah said. Hes always there for her. Emily was named after Sarahs late mother and she is sure their newest family member will take after her in all the right ways. Shell have all her good characteristics, Sarah said. Sarah and Fredy would like to say a special thanks to Nana Josephine for all her help. Emily was born on December 9 at 9.01pm. She weighed 3.56kg and measured 41cm. Alex Peter Jarvis LIZ and Greg Jarvis set themselves a deadline to find a name for their little boy: 11am Friday. Then they slept all Friday morning and missed it. After much deliberation with friends they decided on Alex Peter, and theyre hoping he doesnt have as much energy as his big brother Harry, 2. Theyre on a first-name basis with doctors at the hospital, because Harry is quite good at spectacularly hurting himself. He broke his leg jumping off their couch. Hopefully Alex is calm and quiet, Liz said. Liz is an ultrasound operator, and didnt want to know what she was having. It meant the last time she saw her little boy was at the 12-week ultrasound. My boss did my ultrasound; she knew what we were having but managed to keep it a secret. Alex was born on February 26 at 11.15pm. He weighed 3.49kg and measured 51cm. Amiyah Elizabeth Winch Maddie Lee Hoad LITTLE Maddie Lee Hoad has settled into her family seamlessly. Megan and Troy Hoad have got back into the swing of looking after a newborn again with older brother Cooper, 3, ready to lend a helping hand. Shes settling in really well, Megan said. Cooper is loving having a little sister to dote over. The Hoad family is looking forward to watching the newest member grow and carve her own path in life. Maddie was born on February 16 at 11.42am. She weighed 3.9kg and measured 50cm. THE Winch family have had to reset the clocks after the birth of baby Amiyah Elizabeth. Amiyah is Jessica and Greggs third child, but its been seven years since they welcomed baby Mason. So its a bit of a shock, but its all coming back to us, mum Jessica said. She said to date, Amiyah has been a polar opposite to Mason and their eldest Mikaylee, 8. Shes easy, shes pretty chilled out, Jessica said. Amiyah must have been in a rush to get out, because she arrived just 20 minutes after Jessica was induced. Amiyah was born on February 23 at 11.11am. She weighed 3.25kg and measured 47cm. Mikayla Elizabeth Janice Koh ITS no stretch of the imagination to picture Mikayla Elizabeth Janice Koh in front of a TV camera. Dad Jarrod is news director at Channel Nine Darwin. But when asked if his firstborn was a future journo, he gave nothing away. She might be a doctor, too, he said. Jarrod and partner Leigh-Anne said welcoming a child was a completely surreal experience. Shes so small and chilled out, though. Shes calm and content like her mum, Jarrod said. With all of their family living down south, the couple have been FaceTiming relos who wont meet Mikayla for a while. She was born on February 26 at 2.27am. She weighed 2.79kg and measured 50cm. Arley Rae Burns FIRST-TIME parents Jessica Dempsey and Mick Burns welcomed Arley Rae Burns on February 26 at 4.30pm. Dad Mick said during the birth he parked himself in the corner of the delivery suite and did nothing, spoke to no one. That way there was no chance of getting into trouble. But now the couple have made it out the other side, they can get down to business. She will be helping me collect crocodile eggs, Mick said. Unfortunately, she will have to wait several months before she can have her NTFL christening, because the couple support the Tiwi Bombers, who got knocked out last weekend. Arley weighed 3.5kg and measured 52cm. Lachlan Lucas Sansom LACHLAN Lucas Sansom is going to be daddys little boy according to his mum Louise Shuker.
